Founded in 2002, Research Publishers (RP) began as a Wisconsin-based publisher of quality books for business and research professionals.

Consulting and Knowledge Base Publishing #

Consulting, always a component of The RP Way, became central to RP’s business with its move to California in 2014. The company (still privately held) offers a variety of research, consulting, and measurement services with special emphasis on studies of consumers, markets, and brands.

With the introduction of COMPETITOR360®, RP moved into knowledge base publishing, developing software and information systems. Think of this service as a digital news service focused on a client’s business. Information is continuously updated and continuously available. In keeping with The RP Way, we work with value-added research providers to offer what we describe as competitive intelligence as a service.

Publishing #

The RP Way of publishing has been to work with authors who have strong research and technical backgrounds with excellent writing skills. RP has been an advocate of creativity, freedom of expression, and intellectual property rights. The firm values close relationships with authors, artists, and researchers in developing and marketing its products. RP’s books can be purchased at the RP Store.

Data Science Quarterly® promotes the discipline of data science, showing its relevance to all organizations and to social and political discourse. Data Science Quarterly combines the best attributes of academic journals and popular news magazines. Its articles draw on high-quality empirical research written in clear and concise language that anyone can understand.

The online version of Data Science Quarterly is a free news service. It includes short articles and commentary about current events and summaries of selected articles from past and future issues of the electronic and print versions.

An electronic version of Data Science Quarterly is available worldwide as a subscription service. A print version is available as a subscription service in the United States. Prior to 2024, electronic and print versions will be available from the RP Store.
